The women I often work with here in Denver are such incredible people. They all have very different stories about their lives and what has got them to where they are in life now. But the one common factor I find among all of these ladies is their focus and positive outlook on life ,They all draw me in with their inner light and beautiful minds.
Two of these women are Ming and Maleah. We shot relatively fast this day. Getting through 5 looks in a little over 2 hours. We wanted something moody and minimal and I wanted to draw from the color within the sets. I stuck with mostly neutrals and muted tones for wardrobe. I keep the jewelry simple but made sure to over layer in some photos for emphasis.
Contrary to the creepy photo above Ming is a very fun person. We've worked together on a couple of shoots and each time is more giggly than the last. She is an amazingly multi-talented artist that does a lot more than just modeling. And when I list her instagram below, you should take the second to check her out. The work she does is not confined to certain styles or genres, and she is an amazing chameleon.
I've shot with Maleah several times at this point and the women is a film genius. Never do I ever receive a bad photo from her. The emotion she evokes from her pictures is unparalled, and I continue to see only complete growth and development in her work with each set we create together. She is the sweetest of sweets too, and a dear friend to me now.
I used a mix of jewelry designers for this shoot. The First company is Shop Hawn. Jenna Knopf is owner and designer of the company which is local to Denver, Colorado. The other designer and very good friend of mine is Heather Kitchen owner and designer at Kitchies Handmade based out of Cincinnati, OH.
