Hey y'all. I had my first shoot this week with Crystal Rose Photography to try and get myself more comfortable around a camera, because I found out recently that if you want a style blog then people might need to know what you look like.
I went for my first fall/winter look, so I picked up a couple of pieces while in Cincinnati. The turtle neck sweater and black jeggings came from this magical store in Hebron, KY called The Gap Outlet, and though it was nearly 85 degrees outside that did not stop me from wearing a partially wool turtleneck. This is not your regular outlet mall store. This store is located on the back half of an Athleta/Gap/Old Navy/Banana Republic warehouse, so if there is 1 stitch off, there's a snag, etc, it goes to this warehouse with a 65 percent discount. It's there that I found this great Athleta sweater ($15.99). Oh, and the jeans I've had my eye on for $60 online? I ended up getting them for only $5.99. Like I said: magic.
I like to point out that my outfit lacks one major fall aspect: Color. Sometimes I feel too much emphasis is placed on what colors you have to wear during whatever season. Wear whatever you want! I wear white after labor day on a consistant basis and I don't have anyone stopping me on the street to tell me I'm doing things wrong. Fashion is whatever you make it.
So I'm a dork. My mom still cuts and colors my hair. To be fair, I've had the same hairstylist since birth, and not many people can say that. I was going for a clean and minimal vibe on my shave. With a cool brown for my winter color.
With that being said, it was nice to introduce myself to all of you! The amazing photographer was Crystal Smith of Crystal Rose Photography, who I also have several shoots with here on the website.
Later y'all, Ash
